May 30, 2012: OK I have finally decided to retire my young guns column and change the format to a regular spotlight type website instead. It’s getting too hard to find new young talent each month so I decided to just make it a Terrifying Shredder column instead starting July. I think Im going to regret this but….. If anyone is interested in being listed and feel worthy enough to be on the top 5 list for July, feel free to send me a youtube video link and a short bio info.
Thanks http://www.shredguitarist.org and http://www.youtube.com/NealsYoungGuns.

April 16, 2012: A few new videos I posted on Youtube this past weekend.1st is a Demonstration of the Dimarzio Area T Pickups that I just installed on my new Fender Telecaster. I was so impressed by the sound , I decided to make a video of it with all the different settings.
The second video is a demo of the Custom Tone Zone that Dimarzio sent me which I decided to install on my ESP MIII Guitar. Someone on facebook requested this so I made a short demo on what it sounds like.
March 01, 2012: New Video added on Youtube: This is a HD short plug and play demo on my new AC-30EQM Acoustic Electric guitar that I got from ESP Guitars. I plugged in the guitar direct to the board with a little bit of reverb and improvised over the default Latin progression in Garage band in the key of F min. It was recorded the same day I actually got the guitar which was really late at night so I was pretty exhausted, half asleep and not used to playing this guitar yet. It’s definitely not perfect but I thought the tone wasn’t too bad for a 1st time trial run. The guitar plays very nicely!
February 18, 2012: New Video added on Youtube: This was an experiment with Whole Tone Scales, Symmetric Diminished Scales, Lydian b7 scales and Tri-tone Intervals. Wanted to see how dark and eerie I could go with these far out sounding notes.

February 15, 2012: New mobile barcode added:
February 11, 2012: New Video added on Youtube: Part 5 on my quest for the optimal HD Video/Audio Setup. This one is a snippet from a song of mine called Arachiphobia. I just winged a solo. This was to test something a bit heavier.
February 11, 2012: New Video added on Youtube: Part 4 on my quest for the optimal HD Video/Audio Setup. Its an acoustic piece called Modoc written by Steve Morse.
February 11, 2012: New Video added on Youtube: Part 3 on my quest for the optimal HD Video/Audio Setup. It’s not perfect but I did this after work and I was almost half asleep and doing my laundry.

A Sign Of Life Studio Version
This is a song from my 2nd CD called A Sign Of Life, I wanted to experiment a bit and make a little music video on my mac using a few pictures I had.
It saddens me to have to announce that I will not be teaching at the National Guitar Workshop this year due to the new location being a bit too far of a commute for me on a daily basis. Unless I can take Binky with me… I wish the school the best this year and hopefully in the future if they move back closer, I can teach there again.
I recently registered a few domains. and some are really cool!!!
These domains all point to this site now!! Thank you GOD!! Im sure its much easier to remember than spelling my name. LOL
Hi Everyone. I finally got a new replacement computer and also a replacement DAT machine for my studio. I decided I was going to share a track that was originally intended for a tribute CD for Jason Becker called Warmth To A Wilderness but because of problems with my recording gear, my track was not able to make the cut in time…. Long Story. Basically My original ADAT tracks got eaten up and the player died. Couldn’t get it fixed in time to redo it so the only copy I had was this demo bounced version on DAT that eventually my DAT player couldn’t even play the tape anymore. Very Frusterating…… Anyways, I am finally able to play the demo copy again and just wanted to share it. Sorry Jason. At least this way you know that I tried to do a version but I wasn’t happy with this one. It wasn’t meant to be a final release.
I just want to start off by saying thanks to all my friends and family members who have helped me and supported me on my long road to recovery. I actually suffered a heart attack 3 years ago. It was just too much going on at the time and it finally took its toll but I think I am finally getting back on my feet again. Anyways, I thought I’d share some of the new things that are going on with me currently. Last year I spent most of it building a new recording studio. Its not completely done yet but its close
Also I have been working hard to get myself up to date on new trends like facebook, new myspace, twitter and youtube. here are some of the links
Last but not least, I have added a facebook stream to this page above so hopefully I can update this section much easier. Im still trying to figure everything out so bare with me and stay tuned. I think this year will be a more exciting year. Also feel free to add me as a friend on facebook or myspace and feel free to join my tweets. I also appreciate any comments or suggestions on these threads. Thanks again

Just a note: I just wanted to thank a few of my family and good friends who have been very supportive to me due to my recent health endevours and surgery. Unfortuanetly due to this, I could not visit NAMM this year which is a big disappointment. Hopefully next year I will get a chance to go and visit some old faces I haven’t seen in a while.

Also, I am in the process of rereleasing my 1st album “The Crossing” but with all new rhythm section. (drums, keys, bass etc….) The guitars will all remain intact. It was a long restoration process.I had all the original ADAT tracks but all my backing tracks was gone so I had to redo them. Most of the songs actually sound much better and quite different. So please stay tuned for that. Thanks again
